Elaine Sugar President

I am someone who is driven by matters that move my heart. I have long believed in the immense power of synergy. I know the despair that mental struggles can have on the lives of those suffering from them, as well as on the loved ones around those struggling. My grandmother lived with schizophrenia for decades and died in a state psychiatric ward. My mother battled dementia during the last few years of her life. I watched her slow, often frustrating, mental decline. She forgot my name and eventually didn’t recognize me at all.

The disease took its toll on her and our family who did our best to care for her. My mom passed away from COVID-19 complications in August 2021. Due to travel and nursing home visitation restrictions, I wasn’t able to be by her side. However, all is well with me concerning the circumstances of her passing because she taught me that the most important thing is to treat people well while they are alive.

I am a children's book author and an award-winning children's program facilitator, as evidenced by the Philadelphia 76ers Hometown Hero award and multiple Police Athletic League awards. My passion is empowering children with self-esteem building tools. I teach the value of positive thinking and speaking via affirmation education. This is the foundation for my company, Kids, More S.U.G.A.R. (Saying Unforgettable Good Affirmations Regularly).

In the corporate world, I am a top achiever in managing treasury services portfolios of Commercial and Corporate banking clients with revenues of $20M to $1B, and I have over 25 years of financial industry experience and 15 years of direct leadership experience. I received my B.A. in Communication from the University of North Florida.

I am the youngest of nine children! I spent most of my childhood in Jacksonville, Florida, actively campaigning for the position of mom and dad's favorite child, as well as to be my siblings' favorite little sister. My nurturing parents, Willie and Lillie Sugar, instilled the value of speaking things into existence in early childhood. This was the foundation for me adopting the practice of affirmations. As a memorial, the main characters in the books are named Will and Lil, after my honorable and loving parents.

I enjoy museums, shopping, talking way too much, and corny jokes. My favorite corny jokes are usually the ones I write myself. I like to share jokes with others, but if no one else finds them funny, I am usually comfortable laughing all by myself.

"Every person born has a gift they could give to the world. Not many acknowledge that and decide to honor their contribution and provide it to the world to make a difference. Elaine is an exceptional individual who has decided to celebrate her gift and take up the mantle of helping the world evolve through her work.  She is an inspiration for us all."   ~ Roger Burnley ~
